I had an idea......

So Im gonna try this blogging thing out again! I tend to start things and never finish, so we will see how far this goes.
I have decided to start a blog about my life as a wife, mother and runner. I use to run in high school and then quickly quit after graduating. I had a bad attitude about starting up again and going through the training and so on.....Well a couple years ago a friend of mine and I decided to start running as many 5ks as possible to get some new shirts!!!

Then we decided to move on to bigger and better things!! Kristi came to me with this idea that we sign up for Team Challenge Crohns and Colitis Foundation and run in the Las Vegas Rock and Roll Marathon!! I jumped right on board!!! So we started raising our money by fundraising. It was a lot of hard work, but so well worth it!!

I had so much fun doing this, I signed up again this year!! My poor husband.....

 

So now my next BIG adventure is coming up next month, the Ragnar Relays! I was so happy to be asked to do it that I said "yes" right away without even knowing what it was! The name just sounded awesome! I am running with 11 other women whom I really don't know that well (besides Kristi) But its a 200+ mile relay in 24+hrs! Amazing I know! But now, just today I start reading more about it and realize I would be running in the dark! I knew that we would be running in the dark I just didn't ever think it would be ME!! If anyone really knows me, I'm terrified of the dark and I am not afraid to admit it! But that's not the worst part. The worst part for me is that during this 6.6 miles in the dark the van with the other 5 girls in it cant stop and cheer me on. I'm in a "no supporter area". Are you frickin kidding me!! I am going to for surly pee myself just out of fear! I am trying to look at it just as another obstacle that I need to conquer (yea, right). Don't worry though,  I will come back and let you all know if I made it or not.....Please pray I do!!!
